Big PC Games Sale Offers Flash Deals On Steam Games Ahead Of Amazon Prime Day

PC game store Fanatical has brought back its Insanity Sale this week with steep discounts on Steam games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Blasphemous, Metro Exodus, and Payday 2. The timing is certainly conspicuous, as the sale will overlap with Amazon Prime Day 2020 (which launches tomorrow, October 13).

The Insanity sale lasts for 48 hours, with discounts only lasting 24 hours from the time they start. For example, Darksiders III is currently $13.79 (77% off) on Fanatical until October 13 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. After that, it goes back to its original $60 retail price. Similarly, Rain World is only $2 (90% off) until October 13 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, at which point it returns to its retail price of $20. Fanatical’s Insanity Sale includes discounts on all manners of AAA and indie titles, so there are plenty of great deals to take advantage of, with more deals going live on a regular basis. We’ve rounded up some of the best deals right now below, but keep in mind this sale is fluctuating regularly, so the deal may not be available when you click through.

Fanatical Insanity Sale Highlights

Once the time lapses, games will be swapped out with new offerings at similarly deep discounts. The next set of titles are teased with random screenshots before being revealed.

Each of the codes purchased through Fanatical is for PC via Steam. After purchasing, you’ll receive an email shortly with a game key to redeem in Steam.

This deal comes ahead of Amazon’s highly anticipated Prime Day 2020 sale, where Amazon Prime members get access to huge discounts on everything from accessories and consoles to games and subscriptions. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about this year’s sale.

Other companies are participating in Amazon Prime Day as well, constructing what has become Anti-Prime Day for retailers like GameStop and Microsoft. And before Prime Day even kicks off, Walmart has already started its massive sale on Nintendo Switch games and more.
