With the PlayStation 5 releasing next month, it’s a great time to start thinking about re-upping your PlayStation Plus subscription. PS Plus will once again be required for online multiplayer for most games on PS5. Additionally, PS5 users with an active membership will also gain access to the PlayStation Plus Collection, a Game Pass-esque library with a bunch of popular PS4 games. With Amazon Prime Day 2020 kicking off on October 13, there will likely be some great deals on PS Plus memberships.
Last year, annual PlayStation Plus memberships were discounted from $60 to $40 at Amazon during Prime Day. That’s a pretty great deal, and we think there’s a good chance we’ll see it again. With that said, you will certainly want to compare prices on Prime Day, as the best PS Plus deals are potentially already available.
Current PS Plus deals
Right now, North American PlayStation players can grab 12 months of PlayStation Plus from Daily Steals for $33.49 with promo code GAMESPOTPSN. If the Daily Steals deal sells out, Ebay also has PS Plus memberships for $35. Both of these deals are digital codes that are delivered via email and can be redeemed at the PlayStation Store. PS Plus subscriptions stack, so even if your subscription isn’t about to expire, it’s worth adding an additional year at a great price.
While there’s a chance that Prime Day 2020 could bring even steeper discounts on PS Plus, the $33.49 price is the lowest we can recall.
